Committed to learning.
Salma Redhead has been an educator for more than 20 years, during which time she has taught at every level, from kindergarten to adults. She is a great observer of the varied ways in which people learn – knowledge which informs the progressive approaches she employs, even within existing educational frameworks. This approach relies on three core values that define Ed Coach’s vision:
Curiosity—the belief that learning should not begin and end in a classroom
Competence—meeting students where they are and supporting them as they break through to new levels of learning
Confidence—helping students build faith in themselves; nothing succeeds like success!
Salma holds a postgraduate diploma in Education (Globalisation and Inclusion) from the University of Sheffield, and has extensive experience with Trinidad and Tobago’s primary school curricula. Her expertise includes teaching English as a Foreign Language and Spanish. Salma is a founding member of the Virtues Project community of Trinidad and Tobago, an initiative that develops programmes to promote character-building in schools, homes, corporate environments and wider communities. She routinely incorporates these strategies into her work.
